Running a residents' management company
If you're a director of an RMC, you're responsible for the building: the service charge, the insurance, repairs and compliance. It is a real responsibility, and most directors take it on alongside a job and a family.
A managing agent should make that easier. In practice, many directors find themselves chasing their agent for updates, approving quotes by email and struggling to see where the service charge is going.
How we work with your board
- Budgets. We prepare the annual service charge budget for the board to approve, and report spending against it.
- Approvals. Contractor quotes, including Section 20 works, go to directors in the portal. You can approve or ask questions, and there's a record of the decision.
- Reporting. The client account, reserve fund, collection and arrears are visible in the portal at any time, not just at year end.
- Meetings. We help prepare for board meetings and AGMs, and follow up on actions.
- Company admin. We can support the board with company secretarial tasks.
Oversight without the chasing
The Harrison Services Portal gives directors a live view of the building. You can see what's happening with repairs, what's waiting for your approval and what your property manager has done, without having to ask.
Explore the portal or try the live demo.
Unhappy with your current agent?

What is an RMC?
A residents' management company is a company, usually owned by the leaseholders, that is responsible for managing a building. It may be named in the leases, or it may own the freehold. Its directors are usually leaseholders who volunteer.
Do the directors still make the decisions?
Yes. The board sets the direction and approves budgets and significant spending. We do the work, give you the information to make decisions and keep a record in the portal.
Can you help with Companies House filings?
We can support the board with company secretarial tasks. Tell us what you need and we'll set it out in your proposal.
